Perhaps you’ve had cable television for years, or maybe you are still on the old antenna system. Maybe it was the home of a friend who had satellite TV or if you want to enjoy all the programs you see in the sports bar favorites at home. Making the switch means, basically, turn your rabbit ears or cable box to take a dish from the roof. There is a receiver that connects to the antenna that picks up literally hundreds of channels. That may be the number one reason to make the switch to satellite TV. Satellite programming is varied and you can have hundreds of channels to choose from. Your satellite provider will have several levels of programming that you can subscribe to, which starts at a basic package and increases as you add premium channels and other premium channels from its package. Satellite television offers viewers a choice in terms of channels and users can choose a range of channels with a lot of programming options.

What’s on TV – How do you decide what to see?

It could not be enough hours in the day to see all the programs available on television today. How can you choose from the multitude of channels and shows that there? I remember when there were only three channels to choose from?

Once the three major networks had everything, were the three kings of television. Our options are limited display, but oh how we see! Sunday evenings were dominated by Ed Sullivan and each trust Walter Cronkite on the latest news. Reality TV – What was that? We enjoyed our westerns such as Gunsmoke and Bonanza and police dramas like Dragnet. And who can forget the great variety shows like Carol Burnett? If our vision is limited, but it was quality television.

What about television today? How to measure up to the golden age of television? That question can be answered in many different ways. Some people are all programs of today as trash anything worth seeing. Some are happy with all the options they have. Is there a middle ground?
